To ensure you’re prepared, we’ve compiled a list of procedures for a smooth and safe testing experience at our CSCS test centre. Also, don’t forget to take advantage of our free CSCS mock test
Provide us with the following information before arriving for the CSCS test:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- National insurance number
- Occupation
- What are your national vocational qualifications (if any)
- Have you attempted the CSCS test before
- Which tests do you want to complete?
- Home address
- Contact number
Identification Requirements
- CITB candidates must provide an ID card that contains their photograph and signature
- If they don’t have a Primary ID, they can present two forms of Secondary ID (one from List 1 and one from List 2). One type of secondary ID should have a photo with a signature.
- Candidates must present an original ID that is valid and issued by the government. It should include their name, photograph, and signature.
- Candidates will not be allowed to appear for a test if they cannot provide approbation identification
- The first and last name of the candidate must match the first and last name on the ID

New Veterans ID Card | Must show a photograph and full name. Must be valid. |
Citizen Card | Must show a photograph and full name. Must be valid. |
Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) | Must be issued in the UK |
Young Scots Card | Must show a photograph, full name, and date of birth. Must be valid. |
List 2 | |
Credit Card | Must show candidate’s full name, signature, and bank logo. |
Debit Card | Must show candidate’s full name, signature, and bank logo. |
Bank Statement | Bank statement containing candidates’ full name and home address. It must contain the address given at the time of booking. |
Other Form of Identification | |
Waiver Form | The candidate must provide a countersigned photo with their signature and follow the guidelines on the waiver form about completing further requirements. |
Under 16 Confirmation of Identification Form | Contains a countersigned photo of the candidate from their school or college. |
Note that the waiver form can only be used if the candidate does not have primary or secondary identification at the time of registration for the test.
It is possible that the names don’t match, especially if the candidate has been married or droved. In this case, the candidate must provide a marriage license or divorce decree absolute to proceed with the registration.
