The NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Construction Site Supervision - Building & Civil Engineering is the official qualification for Construction Site Supervisors/Foremen. It allows you to demonstrate your skills and competence without attending a classroom-based course; our assessor will come to your site. Alternatively, you could be remotely assessed using video evidence and photographs of your work.

This course is suitable for existing Supervisors/Foremen currently working in the construction industry.

Previous Construction Site supervisory experience is essential to achieving this qualification.

Potential candidates must demonstrate that they can meet the qualification requirements before enrollment; an initial assessment will be conducted for this purpose.

Candidates MUST provide their own workplace for the assessment. We will assess you at your workplace, so please do not ask us to provide a site for you.

Assessment will be carried out via the On-site Assessment and Training (OSAT) route at your workplace; there will be no workshops, no classrooms, and no time off work. The number of site visits by the allocated assessor will depend on the candidate’s motivation, experience, and availability. Assessments will be tailored to the individual candidate’s learning style and learning needs.

Duration

Every candidate will have the support of our appointed assessor(s) for a period of one year from the point of registration. The appointed assessor(s) will coordinate site visits to the candidate’s workplace and support them in gathering evidence that will be used to complete their portfolio of evidence. The qualification will be achieved between 1 to 12 months depending on the motivation and availability of the candidate.

Accreditation

The qualification is accredited by Pearson Edexcel or Proqual Awarding body. The qualification is valid for a lifetime.

Our NVQ course tutors are qualified and experienced health and safety professionals, with extensive experience in Construction and Risk Management.
All Trainers at EM Construction Training hold numerous health and safety qualifications such as the NEBOSH General Certificate, and the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety which is well above the required industry standard to ensure that the delivery of the course is to the highest standard.

The NVQ course Certificate is valid for Lifetime.

EM Construction Training can also provide companies with NVQ Training at their venue. A trainer can be sent to the company address and deliver the course if there are a minimum of 6 candidates. Please contact the office for this service.

Is this course accredited?

Yes, it is accredited by the CITB which stands for the Construction Industry Training Board for short.

Are there any prerequisites for the Course?

There are no prerequisites for the course, but all delegates are expected to already have a valid CSCS card.

What are the hours of the course?

The hours are 9am to 5pm for both weekend and weekday courses approximately.

Can I come in and see you face to face as that would give me peace of mind?

Yes, absolutely we encourage our customers to have a face-to-face discussion with us regarding their training course and training needs.

This puts your mind at ease so you know you are dealing with real people and a real business that will give you the best service possible.

It will also give you the opportunity to meet some staff members or even your trainer if they are not delivering training at the time of your visit.
