The CPCS A58 course varies depending on whether one is a novice or an experienced operative simply looking to get certified. You should select a course that is aligned to your experience.
Typically, the Novice course runs over Five (5) days to cover both the theory and practical elements of the CPCS A58 Excavator test.
The experienced operator runs over two (2) days and covers the theory element of the CPCS CPCS A58 Excavator test that you shall take at the end of your training.
At the end of your training, you shall take a theory & practical CPCS A58 Excavator test; the CPCS theory tests is verbally relayed meaning that you shall be asked questions by the CPCS tester without the need for you to write or use a computer to answer questions.
The practical test shall involve you operating a 360 excavator under the observation of a CPCS tester; you MUST pass both the theory & practical CPCS tests in order for you to get a CPCS card.
Note: if you fail the CPCS theory test, you shall not be able to take a CPCS practical test.
